Yes, I worded that question incorrectly.

Thus, this article might be of use:

Mac OS X, Mac OS X Server: How to Replace the NetInfo Database

Thanks. Turns out I only had until 3:15 AM tomorrow morning to grab the back up of the netinfo database.

Not accessing OS X Server daily means I didn't realize for several hours that the root account is active on OS X Server (or at least my machine) [not a security issue on a isolated network with physical access to the network restricted]. I had only tried logging into admin account and my personal account.

Thanks.

I have a single OS X 10.3.9 Server running on a G4 Xserve with Xserve

reapply the OS X 10.3.9 Server Combo updater and now I'm locked out
of the system at the GUI. I'm guessing that somehow it got switched
from local accounts to netinfo accounts (which we don't have). I've
read portions of the command line control of Server documentation but
as I don't use those commands the knowledge does not stick.

My experience is mostly OS X 10.2, 10.3, and 10.4 as we use very few
features of OS X Server. ...
