ps. Retrospect duplicate function has a problem with case-
sensitive filesystems, I haven't had time to report it yet. Lost
a bunch of new files when duplicating a case-sensitive file system
to a case-insensitive file system on my way back to a more
standard filesystem.
Files could be seen as duplicates or be overwritten by other files
when going between case-sensitive and case-insensitive file systems.
For reference, the cause of the file loss was not the obvious "same
name different case" problem, rather the problem was more serious,
files created on a case-sensitive OS X 10.4 filesystem were not
duplicated by Retrospect to the case-insensitive filesystem.
I have not had time/need to retest this issue, so this is for your
reference if you deal with Retrospect and case-sensitive OS X
filesystems you may wish to perform some validation tests.
