All,
I have a need to be able to create an installation disk that will be
able to provide the option to install applications that the users want.
I've been playing around with Package Maker for a little while. Is
there a way to make a customized OS X install DVD, and include my
custom Package in /System/Installation/Packages and have
OSInstall.mpkg recognize it as a viable installable element. I've
created a metapackage that will install all my applications in their
appropriate place, but would like to add them to the OS X install
menu where you can click the customize button in the installer, and
have my selections show up and be added such as an optional
installation.
I've tried editing the /System/Installation/Packages/OSInstal.mpkg/
Contents/Info.plist and the OSInstal.dist files but it didn't seem to
want to parse. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Greg
