Is it likely that a laptop would ever leave a SCIF and use wireless?

We recently added wireless access points all over our building, but definitely not for anything but NIPRNET.

And anyone within about 50 miles can tap into those access points.  It's all about combined antenna gain.  Two omni antennas give the official range, replace one end with a nice dish and the range goes way up.

A lot of sensitive but unclassified info travels across NIPRNET connected networks within bases: people's name, travel plans, budget information, etc.
