Here is my take on it... I don't feel like writing it all here so:

All I can say is that I don't know why the hell people are so
excited. Seeing Mac run Windows natively is terrible...
It's like seeing a girl you have had a crush on for years, and loved,
marry the bully at school that is a prick.

Well, It took a little longer to hack this install than I
predicted, but it looks good.
Windows XP running as the boot OS on the new Intel based Macs, dual
boot with Mac OS X... Confirmed on iMacs, MacBookPros, and
MacMinis, all in one day...
Linux should soon follow, for triple boot systems... (Red Hat has
already posted that they are working on it...)
Life is sweet.
2 hackers from California raked in almost $14,000 for being first
with a repeatable install process. The process is a little
difficult, the instructions have to be followed EXACTLY, and
requires a Windows box to make a custom XP install CD or DVD, but
it works. Ports work, but hardware such as the iSight camera and
Bluetooth cards do not (so far - they are working on hacks...). For
those (like me) not familiar with Windows-world jargon, "Nero
Burning ROM" is a shareware application used for hacking custom CDs/
DVDs with boot sectors, etc.
Apple has said they won't move to block this, not sure how Micro
$loth will respond.
