Since we were talking laptops and sticking the card in the slot was not
considered "elegant" I was thinking there might be some smooth mobile
solution that was being hinted at. If I'm looking for something at my desk I
can see how this could be nice but I was focusing on a mobile solution since
laptops are meant to be mobile and everyone I know with a Mac takes them
wherever they go.
It sounds like for mobile users laptops with built in readers have what I
would consider the most elegant, followed by PCMCIA card readers, then
external USB readers and the external wireless USB mentioned here.
