Overview -
Responsible for providing technical expertise to drive sales in
Apple’s Government group. Develops and delivers persuasive technical
sales presentations and product demonstrations that clearly
communicate Apple's product and technology direction and competitive
advantages. Provides technical consulting on the integration and
implementation of Apple products and technologies in customer
environments. Persuades customers that our products are the best
technological fit for their organizations.
Customer Interaction -
Teamed with Sales Reps, works with customers in pursuit of sales
opportunities. Participates with Sales Reps in customer calls that
require technical knowledge to deal with Apple product capabilities
and compatibility issues. Delivers sales presentations on Apple's
strategic technical and business messages requiring good presentation
skills. Delivers tactical technical and business presentations in
both short range non-disclosure and open settings. Works with manager
and corporate headquarters to coordinate resolution of product issues
which jeopardize future sales. Works with other engineers to analyze
customer opportunities and propose appropriate product and technology
solutions. Works with Sales Reps to persuade customers that Apple
solutions meet their organizational needs. Works with Sales Reps to
effectively build relationships at the working level with customer
technical personnel. Has basic understanding of assigned market and
aims to remove technical barriers that may impede Apple Education sales.
Apple Interaction -
Works with manager and Sales Reps to prioritize and accomplish tasks
required to achieve organizational goals. Accomplishes tasks with
general guidance and direction from manager. Works with other
engineers on individual tactical projects. Responsible for developing
individual professional development plans in conjunction with manager
and works to complete those plans. Responsible for supplying
technical information on sales opportunities into Apple’s Sales force
Automation system.
Customer base will be government sales opportunities
Technical Expertise -
Provides technical expertise in integrated Apple, third party &
customized solutions. Responsible for technical aspects of sales into
assigned accounts. Works with other Engineers to define and implement
appropriate technical sales tactics in assigned accounts. Works with
other engineers to determine appropriate solutions on projects
requiring technical expertise in various areas. Consults with higher
level engineers to resolve new or complex technical issues and
problems. Has a working knowledge of all Apple products.
Experience -
Normally requires BS degree in scientific or engineering discipline
plus 2-4 years or MS degree plus 0-2 years technical experience, or
equivalent. Government experience would be a plus but not a requirement.
