Ditto what David says. Drivesavers will do the job, just don't expect it to
be cheap (I think that the 20G drive from my old PowerBook G3 cost around
1500 bucks to recover).
Your drive has probably experienced a mechanical failure. Do not try to use
any of the software based recovery tools out there. All they will do is,
potentially, cause more physical damage than has already been done.
If you're feeling brave, pull open the housing and make sure that all the
cable connections are still secure.
