They work fine, but it depends a bit on how you've configured them.
In particular, if the filer is set up to require kerberos v5
credentials for NFS, Macs will not be able to use them via NFS under
MacOS X 10.4. Macs can access them over SMB, but performance is
slower over SMB compared to NFS. If you don't need kerberized NFS, I
am not aware of any issues.
