Hello all,
I'm a Client Support Administrator (CSA) for the Air Force and due
to recent security changes in the Air Force, our webmail now requires
a CAC to get in from home. We have instructions and software for
Windows users, and my responsibility is to make some instructions for
Mac users. I've been testing the 2 types of card readers we have at
the base. They are the SCR-301, which has no mac drivers at all, and
the Cherry ST-1000U which I got a CardMan 2020 (v 1.0.0.5) driver
for, but it doesn't seem to be working in OS 10.4.9 for me. From
what I've read in the list archives, I should be able to get the
ST-1000U to work. The driver got installed as /usr/libexec/
SmartCardServices/services/ifdok_cm2020_macos-1.0.0.5.bundle
The ways I've tried to check to see if the card (Gemplus GXP3 64V2N)
works are to look at the keychain lists (nothing) and to open up the
Common Access Card Viewer 2.1 application from Apple. So far,
nothing has come up. Is there a different version of the driver I
should try, or is there something I need to do other than installing
this driver? Any help would be appreciated.
Yours,
TSgt Matthew Smith
