Found this today:
note that it is just a GUI interface to: usr/bin/openssl
And in specific what it executes: usr/bin/openssl aes-256-cbc -d -in [ENCRYPTED FILENAME] -out [UNENCRYPTED FILENAME] -pass [PASSWORD]
And because it is open standard and open source, any implementation of this should be able to encrypt and decrypt with ease, even on Windows. It is, unfortunately, noticeably absent on my second favorite computing platform (iPhone). See attached.
