Rather annoyed that I can't search Apple's site for CVE numbers.
For example, CVE-2008-1013 is listed in an email from Apple for QT
7.4.5, but I can't find it using that phrase on Apple's web site.
You can search for CVE numbers. But you now have to be logged in to
Apple's support site:
<http://support.apple.com/kb/>
You can then search for, e.g., CVE-2008-1013 like so:
<http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=search&src=support_site.kbase.search&q=CVE-2008-1013

and voila, this is returned:
<http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1241>
Your other issue of CVE-2008-1185 is unrelated, because (assuming you
don't find a particular CVE ID in a previous article) Apple almost
always doesn't comment on any security issue before a patch is
released. You have already commented on why this is a pain.
