Well, this is bizarre...
I'm running Server on a G5 with two pair of (MacOS X software) RAID
Mirrored drives. If the updates (either Server when booting from the
Server partition or client when booting from the normal MacOS X
installation) are saved to a RAID drive, I get checksum errors during
the install.
But if I save the .dmg file and then copy the .pkg file to an external
(not software RAID) drive, the update works.
There must be something in the 10.5.5 (-5-) update that impacts how
checksums are done on packages.
