Stumbled across two other sources of products claiming Mac OS X
compatiblity and Federal encryption compliance. I haven't done any
testing. Caveat emptor.
Note the Addonics products with FIPS 197 validation (but not FIPS 140-2).
Haven't seen that before. Can someone explain the functional difference?

*Not* FIPS 140-2 listed, but they claim to use FIPS 197 validated AES from
Enova.

Addonics uses plug-in cipher keys, without software or passwords, and claim
OS independence and full speed access. Addonics sells blank cipher keys

They sell a variety of encrypted external and internal hard drives, thumb
