Pretty much. The issue is the Apple-supplied PKCS#11 module; it crashes
during C_Initialize. I've an open bug on the issue, but there's been no
motion in quite some time. I pestered Shawn about this last week, but
if someone *else* from Apple wants to take a shot at it, I'm more than
happy to help.
As an alternative one can try RedHat's Coolkey PKCS#11 module, but the
Mac version is a little buggy at the moment.
Also, I haven't seen anything since
the initial reports, but I assume that the latest update to Leopard
(10.5.3) still breaks CAC access with Safari???
It's being actively worked on, that's all I can say unless someone tells
me otherwise.
