I guess that answers my question b/c I'm never being prompted for my
pin. I just get an error message from Safari:
Safari can’t open the page “https://******” because the server
unexpectedly dropped the connection, which sometimes occurs when the
server is busy. You might be able to open the page later.

For instance, I am working with Juniper on an issue with their SSL VPN
solution (SA2000) where; under Leopard you cannot request a
certificate before displaying the logon page.
