Barbara,
More information may be needed. Can you send the serial number of the
system? There was a 15" iMac with 1GHz processor and USB 2.0 but there
was also a 17" iMac with 1GHz processor and USB 1.1.
A USB 2.0 webcam will give you a much better picture, as long as
you're on a broadband internet service. I've heard that the Macally
IceCam2 is a very good solution and relatively inexpensive.

Need some info regarding a webcam for my 5 yr old iMac that has 1.0GHz
PowerPC G4 running Mac OS X 10.4.11 with 768MB DDR SDRAM. Considering
buying Logitech Quickcam Vision Pro for Mac.
But in reading the specs it indicates one needs a 2.0 USB to operate.
Not sure I have 2.0 USB on my machine but think my USB's are 1.0.
Can use some advice on compatibility/usability of webcam. Will this
work
on my current system? If not, what will make it work?
