Luke,
Unfortunately, it does require Windows to perform the flash update.
If you have an Intel Mac (w/ BootCamp) and have a licensed copy of
Windows, you can load that on your system and use it to do the flashing.
If you don't have the above, you can only borrow a neighbors/friend
system. I would say go up to a Best Buy with the update on a flash
drive and your reader and hijack a system on the floor...but that just
wouldn't be proper, though. ;-)
Can't think of any other ways...
