Title: Active Directory Question
Hi-
I’ve got a question about AD integration. I’ve bound Macs to Active Directories before, so that’s not where my question stems from. My question is this: If you have a local account on the computer with the same username as what their AD username is, how can you “flip” that local user into an AD user? Is it easy? I know I could log in as root, copy the local user folder, remove the local user, bind, login with AD user, copy user folder back, chown it and that’ll work, but that’s very manual. For you Top Gear watchers, “how hard could it be?”
I’m sure someone’s run into this before... :)
