Thanks to all for any help...
BLUF: Trying to set up my macs (Powerbook G4, Macbook intel, iMac 20" intel) to be able to check Air Force web mail from home. All machines are running latest OS X 10.5.6. I'm using the only CAC reader I have available at the BX here at Kadena, the SCR 3310.
What I've tried:
- Ran the complete setup as detailed in the Apple document "XXXXX". There didn't seem to be a lot of settings that I changed. The instructions sort of left me hanging on what parameters to set in the array.
- Also the "CAC on a Mac" whitepaper from the Naval Post Grad School.
What I've got:
In keychain, the CAC shows up and makes me put in my PIN to access the certs. I've draged them in to the login keychain and get errors (certs already there, it says). When I run the card checker program in terminal (the name escapes me at the moment), it says it found the reader and passed all tests. It also shows up in the hardware profiles.
BUT... when I try to open web mail or other CAC-enabled sites, I get the 401 access denied error.
Please tell me there's something simple that I forgot to do...
thanks again for any assistance. I've got about 6 guys in my flight who only have Macs at home and we're all desperate to get this working.
-Alan
