Still your point is a great one. The number one complaint about iPhone (other than AT&T) has been its battery life. When the first gen iPhone came out everyone complained about the lack of 3G, and Apple explained that part of the reason for leaving it out was its battery drain by chips at that time. Sometimes we forget that when Apple leaves something out of a product, there really is a good reason to do so.

Still, hopefully the update will allow me to turn 3G back on.
