You may want to take a look in the /Library folder for a McAfee
folder.  McAfee VS installs in 2 parts - the application and the
agent.  There's uninstall scripts for each one buried in the file
system.  If you drop to the command line, go to /Library/McAfee/cma
and in there should be an uninstall.sh file (or similar).  Run that as
sudo to get rid of the agent.

To completely kill the application, go to /usr/local and see if you
have a "vscanx" folder.  If you do, there's still remnants of the
application there.  Go into the vscanx folder and there's an uninstall
command there too.  For that one, I think you have to run it as "sudo
sh VirusScan..."
