Can we get back to [Fed-Talk] discussions rather than rooting non-Apple
devices?
I don't think hacking another device is going to mesh well with our
C&A package or convince the CIO to let anyone have an iPad.

I love my iPad (both of them)... I heard something on the radio this
morning that lifesciences.com<http://lifesciences.com> did an article
bashing the iPad pretty badly.
All of their comments in my opinion were BS...
"Cannot type on it"... I beg to differ, I can type faster on the iPad
than most of my colleagues do on a regular keyboard (although I type
about 160 WPM on a regular keyboard, so I am a good typist), but the
iPad is a good 80-90wpm in my estimation.
"Bulky, people cannot carry it." Uhhhh... sorry to say but this has
replaced my planner.. in fact, it is in a belkin case that looks just
like a planner, dont see where they get that.... it's not supposed to be
a phone!! (although it is, Skype works perfectly on it!)
"Heavy"... so unless the guy was an ant (or any insect, the ant is one
of the strongest) I do not get this argument.. it's a perfect weight to
size ratio.
"Slippery"... don't eat chicken before you touch it!!! Mine is not
slippery at all...
"Fingerprints to easily"... nothing that a small microfiber cloth
doesn't fix.. everything fingerprints!
Anyhow.. I wanted to post this message, because I have two iPads.. I
went in with a chip on my shoulder, thinking it would not be worth it,
and my few days with it I can say it is a pleasure to use... and I
didn't wait for the 3G version BECAUSE I fail to see how ATT will be
able to handle a rush of iPads when they cannot keep up with the iphones
they already have on their network...
What I DID do was a get a Mifi from Verizon.. i keep the Mifi in the
belkin case have have 3G everywhere (with 2mb down I might add)... and
it works as a wireless access point for my laptop as well...
the iPad is an excellent device... if you are thinking of getting one
but have reservations about the mixed reviews know this.... I went in
not liking it... I'm not paid by apple or any other advertiser... after
getting it, I feel it is well worth the money.

Looks to be identical to the iPhone 3GS. That's what I expected, but
nice to see it confirmed. Support for PKI would have been even nicer,
but not what I expected. Maybe in iPhone 4?
