Title: First Hands with iPad and Reality Check
Spending less than ½ hour with iPad looks good, and its screen is extremely bright and incredible color. The iPad specific apps are impressive, and adding a Bluetooth keyboard to the iPhone OS is intriguing. iWork for iPad turns the table into productive gadget.
Most people expected the iPad to double or triple as an e-reading app will support the ePub standard was very big news.
However, I see some drawbacks.
No Camera, no Multitasking GPS on 3G Models only, and Video Limitations.
The iPad is designed to be handheld and carried, and it couldn’t have felt more solid in my hands.
For me , the iPad excelled at tasks where I could lean back and read, watch & listen.
My verdict is that, while it has compromises and drawbacks, the iPad can indeed replace a netbook and it isn’t going to replace a MacBook Pro any time soon.
One day, I too will own an iPad.
