I disagree. iPods (and Apple TV's, OSX, Airports and other Apple peripherals for that matter) had government employee discounts for many years, up until about a year ago. For example, back in March 2005, you could get $20 off of a 20GB iPod. I always pointed this out to my coworkers when they were in the market for anything Apple-branded. The discount was on the order of 8-10%, just enough to cover sales tax.
Now I see that the only discounted items are the computers themselves, even in the federal government SmartPay store...
