Title: Safari 5 to be announced @ WWDC
Ian Paul, Tech reporter of "PCWorld,", tells us that Safari 5 will be announced today ( 09:42 a.m. Pacific Time ) during Apple CEO Steve Jobs' keynote at the Worldwide Developer Conference.
Paul says that, according to their sources, Safari 5 will be announced at the WWDC , " 10 things to watch for ."
He says it will be "a nice release with a lot of improvements," including a 25% increase in speed, better _javascript_ performance, Bing support, better page caching, a smarter address field, increased HTML5 support.
HTML5 :
It aims to reduce the need for proprietary plug-in-based rich internet application (RIA) technologies such as Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight. In common usage, HTML5 may also refer to the additional use of CSS3, as both technologies are under development in parallel.
