Tim,

Thanks! Great information.

I believe your specific bug is discussed in the comments to this Ars
Technica article on why the IPv6 transition will be ugly:
http://arstechnica.com/business/news/2010/09/there-is-no-plan-b-why-the-ipv4-to-ipv6-transition-will-be-ugly.ars

Shortened: http://preview.tinyurl.com/399aupb

The bug is still in 10.6.4, and the bugreport is still open, owned by the
author of the article, according to his comment.

As another commenter stated: Mac OS X Safari is broken in an IPv6-only
environment.

Also, Stuart Cheshire @ Apple discusses the problems with various solutions
to the DNS problem in this QuickTime video on his home page:
  http://www.stuartcheshire.org/IETF72/

I'm glad we can run dual stacks, but the Google "encouragement" looks like
a bad idea for now.

I've read about Mac OS X problems with DHCPv6 (missing), and self-assigned
addresses versus router-assigned addresses (also missing).

Any problems experienced in those areas?
