Title: Re: [Fed-Talk] 144-bit CAC on Mac? -->SmartCardServices.MacOSForge.Org
I just got the 144 bit Gemal CAC.  I had excellent CAC performance with the earlier card.  I couldn’t access the new card initially so I couldn’t create a new identity, but I installed the Tokend Support for Mac OS X 10.5 and accomplished that.  Now the software is asking for the pin and I can see the certificates, but I get a message back that the website did not accept the certificate.  The card works fine with the same sites from a Vista machine, so the certificates themselves must be OK.

Is this something new?

Thanks,

Steve Tenney

I have noticed that the newer (issued since December) CACs do not work on Macs (I've tried it on 10.5.8 and 10.6.2).  These are the 144 bit Gemalto CACs.  They show up in the Keychain, but none of the certificates show up and the Keychain for it can't even be unlocked.  When running sc_auth hash, the output is security: SecKeychainSearchCopyNext: CSSMERR_DL_MISSING_VALUE.

Has anyone run into this before, and, if so, is there a fix?
