The email that follows is one that I had sent to Uri directly regarding this
previous post. Our correspondence has clarified where he got his
expectations, but because this has been posted it needs to be addressed.
Essentially it is important to read what the products do today as released,
not what the overall future plans will include. We are working with
multiple vendors that are looking at adding major value to our basic
products. Some are 30-60 days out, some are 6-12 months out. Some of these
enhancements will be released by us, some by others.
My apologies to Uri or anyone else who had higher expectations for the v1
release.

Uri, I'm confused. You are complaining about things that have never been
represented by us.

Why did you presume that it works with Good-for-Enterprise? We never made
this representation anywhere on our web site.

The current product provides you with a secure browser with iOS using smart
cards (today, specifically CAC, PIV, PIV-I). As you observed you were able
to access the AKO mail site. And as you said, "great!", because this is
what the product is designed for.
What you can't do today is encrypt emails which is not a feature part of any
standard (non-Microsoft) browser. We have announced that we are working on
a secure mail program, but that is different than a secure browser based
upon Safari engine technology.

There isn't a trick, you are just trying to use a combination of hardware
and software that doesn't formally support what you want to do. We have
announced plans for future s/mime support. We have no formal announcements
for Good Technology support at this time.

The current "PKard Browser" is essentially the same as "PKard Reader" except
for the hardware platforms that it supports. If it doesn't meet your needs
with PKard Reader, it simply won't be any different with PKard Browser.
I definitely agree with you that VPP is extremely unfriendly. We are
working on this but things move slowly at times with Apple's App Store.
Hopefully you will see changes in the next few weeks, but don't expect days.

PKard Browser currently only supports the BAI reader. We will be adding
support for Precise Biometric's sled style readers shortly after their final
approval with Apple's mfi program. They have been heavily tested in beta.
This will provide you with a choice of a cheaper reader "for the rest of
us", a sled style reader for people who need frequent access to their cards,
and BAL's for those that need a Bluetooth solution.
