I need to know if the Apple OS X is NIST qualified for sanitizing hard drives. I know the format will do 7 or 35 passes. But my IA needs some proof that there will be no reminisce. Or that it qualifies as a DOD approved sanitizer for hard drives. This allows drives to be downgraded from a high classification.
Thanks
bob
