It's all about identity management... There are surprising uses for every bit of data that can be collected and collated to form a profile of a person... As released, the UDIDs provide nothing substantial - but if there the file the FBI and AntiSec have contains more information (i.e. PII), then you have sufficient information to begin creating profiles for quite a few users. Let your imagination run wild with all of the things you can begin to do with 12M user and device profiles - because that's what actual criminals are doing.
I'm not saying that any useful pieces of information will/can be made from this leak... But if AntiSec is telling the truth, and there is a lot more data in the file... then it's a pretty big deal. As the saying goes - knowledge is power.
