- Thread-topic: [Fed-Talk] Anonymous Hacker Group Strikes Again
Well I am glad to read that... I have to be honest I had problems sleeping last night thinking that someone could take down the GD Infrastructure...
So the major mistake of icloud today wasn't a hack! (I am surprised someone didnt claim that).
I personally think that iCloud situation was trying to get all of the me.com migrated to icloud.com for tomorrow.
I know we get a lot of hack attempts on our Ubuntu boxes, none are successful... and I'm not half the hacker these people are, and I haven't got smashed yet... so I know GD and other people on this list have more abilities than me... my thought was "okay, I have .gov boxes open to the world... if they cant take me down how did they take down GD?"
BTW Thats not a challenge!!! Just saying...
Mike

We have determined the service outage was due to a series of internal network events that corrupted router data tables. Once the issues were identified, we took corrective actions to restore services for our customers and GoDaddy.com. We have implemented measures to prevent this from occurring again.
