No, my point isn't that they should just build in the US but that they should build in depressed areas in the US, such as Kentucky, and provide these people with on-the-job training kills to make them loyal and secure Apple employees.

Apple to build made-in-the-USA manufacturing plant in Arizona | Apple - CNET News <http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-57610796-37/apple-to-build-made-in-the-usa-manufacturing-plant-in-arizona/>
"We are proud to expand our domestic manufacturing initiative with a new facility in Arizona, creating more than 2,000 jobs in engineering, manufacturing, and construction," Apple spokeswoman Kristin Huguet told CNET. "This new plant will make components for Apple products and it will run on 100 percent renewable energy from day one, as a result of the work we are doing with SRP to create green energy sources to power the facility."
And of course, there are detractors who don't understand the nature of risk or the nature of tooling for a new product being an economical opportunity for a new assembly plant vs arbitrarily recreating tooling systems for an existing product...

Apple, of course, could be gradually expanding the facility to handle more lines of Macs, and may even one day include iPhones and iPads into its production plans. This may just be a start of something bigger.

But over all, I think you are getting your wish.

One would think, as innovative as Apple is, that they'd set up manufacturing plants in these places in Kentucky, etc. where jobs are desperately needed instead of overseas.
