Probably from some PC security vendor whose basis of argument is “we don’t have a product for Macs.”
Here in the National Capital Region, one of the major hospital groups was hit by a malware (probably ransomware) attack. A radio show (Kojoshow.org) had some people talking about this, and of course the security ‘expert’ talked about everything BUT changing to platforms/OS/hardware that have been shown to be more secure. IT people and particularly CIOs are never held accountable for their bad decisions, no one gets fired for buying Microsoft and Adobe, despite the security vulnerabilities these bring in. But they’ll spend buttloads of money to mediate these vulnerabilities.
