Not quite. Apple modifies ARM's reference designs to produce their SoCs, so you have to go deeper.
The Apple A6 is based on the Cortex-A9 and Cortex-A15 designs (it predates the Cortex-A15 release but was clearly tracking its development) but doesn't have all the features of those designs. TrustZone (which is present in both Cortex-A9 and Cortex-A15) is one of the missing features, and didn't show up until the Apple A7, which is based on the Cortex-A17.
This is why the iPad mini 2 doesn't have a fingerprint sensor. :)
