I use OpenSC.tokend (my fork). It provides Outlook, Acrobat, and Chrome with
access to the keys/certs on the PIV token. And opensc-pkcs11.dylib from OpenSC
as PKCS#11 library for Firefox.
Works well enough. I didn't have to disable pivtoken, as it doesn't bother me
if a cert would show up twice. And this allows me to use Safari and Apple Mail
as well.
