I would presume no, because it’s not FV2, it is the underlying hardware and
boot loader that don’t load USB drivers, smartcard middleware, etc. at the
point where the FV2 decryption takes place. (Nor can they really, since all
that stuff is contained within the OS, which is on the not-yet-decrypted drive
at the point where you’re being asked for FV2 authentication.)

I honestly don’t know how they EVER could manage to support smartcard-based FV2
decryption with the current model, given the amount of non-Apple smartcard
support software that would somehow have to find its way into the boot loader.
