Is it possible to access the underlying files and directories of an
overlay mount point?
For example, a mount point is created that overlays a directory that
has files and folders in it. Is there some way from user space or from
the kernel that the underlying files and folders could be accessed?
I'm sure my file system naivety is showing through. :-) But I'm
thinking that with some reference to the underlying original
directory, one could access all of the files and folders of that
original directory, likely not in user space, but rather from the
kernel.
Is this possible?
Thank you for your thoughts.
...Duane
