Anyone have any idea why FSCopyObjectSync would return -47?
If you can get them to send you an fs_usage log (with "-w"), you can
look for the equivalent errno-style error (EBUSY, 16).
Quinn,
My user finally had a chance to try this, but it didn't work. I
had them run
sudo fs_usage -w > ~/Desktop/FSTrace.txt
- Run the test application, wait for it to fail,
- Press Control+C and send me the FSTrace.txt file
The trace file only had about 30 seconds of trace information in
it. I tried it here, letting fs_usage running for an hour. It
had about 20 minutes of trace information.
What could cause fs_usage to stop logging? I didn't see anything
in the man pages about a time or size limit. I don't think it
would help to filter fs_usage to just to my application's
activity, because I'm trying to find out who else is accessing
that file.
