Sorry, I should have made it clear: all files are HFS+.

For example, on NTFS volumes, very small files are actually stored in the directory database. F_LOG2PHYS cannot return anything rational for that case. Other files on NTFS work fine.

F_LOG2PHYS may not be supported on all file systems (e.g. network file systems).
