Greetings,
I have a strange problem. While testing my product (backup
software) I've encountered two files that generate I/O errors
whenever they are read by my software or anything else, which
includes a simple cat > /dev/null.
These files are in
/.DocumentRevisions-V100/PerUID/501/1/com.apple.documentVersions,
which I presume was created when I edited some documents on this
volume while running Lion.
I can imagine that Lion could be doing something funky with the
volume structure that Snow Leopard doesn't understand, but which
makes be concerned that it might not be safe to delete these
files while running OS X 10.6. fsck (10.6) reports that the
volume is fine.
Any insight would be appreciated.
James
