man diskutil for coreStorage reads in part:
CoreStorage maintains a world of virtual disks, somewhat like RAID, in which one

bility in allocating their hardware; user or operating system data can span multi-
ple physical disks seamlessly, for example.
How does one either add or remove PVs from LVGs? Only addition seems possible, and only at LVG creation time. I'm not seeing a coreStorage verb for adding or removing PVs.
The interface isn’t yet public. Type “strings /usr/sbin/diskutil | grep coreStorage” in Terminal and you’ll see the private ones that haven’t been made public yet.
Note that any further discussion about those private commands is probably not appropriate for this list (and I’m pushing my luck telling you about them).
Kind regards,
Chris
