Can you be more specific.
The size reported in the installer for a given package is the additional space it will take up on disk. What that means is that if you have two packages A and B, with sizes 1MB and 2MB in size respectively and package A is already installed, then the size of the install will be 2 MB, even though 3 MB is physically written on disk (because 1 of those MB is already on disk and is just being replaced).
Chris Ryan Mac OS X Installation & Setup mpackages don't seem to add up the values set for IFPkgFlagInstalledSize inside sub-packages however they do observe the value set for one of the packages: first? last? - I'm not sure but you can figure it out by seeing what size is reported in the mpkg when you run it...
