Title: Archiving my contents folder for clean installation
Hello readers,
I’m currently in the process of creating a PackageMaker installer. Everything “works”, but the one thing I’m unable to do is creating a clean archive (including all symbolic links and resource forks present in my to-be-installed folder structure). I want to be sure when I create my installer that I have a clean/untouched folder structure.
I’ve tried zip (-r –y options) and tar, but am unable to zip and unzip, tar –c and tar –x my folder structure in order to keep my symbolic links (aliases) and resource forks.
Could someone give me a hint how I can do this by means of a shell script where I can use UNIX commands (I’m creating my installer via a script started in the Terminal)
Best regards,
Gert
