Hello,
I have been searching for a fix to the Packagemaker bug where you get an
error message saying "You cannot install this software on this disk. (null)"
This seems to happen on 10.2.x machines when you create an installer with
the Root Volume Only flag set. I know the user can click the Go Back button
and then click Continue to get around the issue but I would rather the user
not have to do this.
One person in this forum mentioned deleting the receipt prior to installing
but this did not solve the problem. Another suggestion was to try and add a
VolumeCheck that only accepts "/". So far I have been unable to make that
solution work either. If anyone has a sample script they used, that might be
helpful to me
If there is a fix out there that has worked, I would appreciate hearing
about it.
Thanks in advance,
Greg Gunston
