The package you are using is a patch package, which can only patch a very specific system. Your system is disqualified because the Address Book Telephony bundle version is not the version it expects. You are best off just going to Software Update (Software Update will figure out a specific patch that will work for your machine, if it is available) or http://www.apple.com/support/tiger/ and getting the full packages.

I thought I could save trouble by keeping the update packages for future use since I'm one of the few with only a phone connection. Apparently not.
I also messed stuff up (versions/permissions) by transferring a lot of application-support files to my secondary drive vs rebuilding from scratch.
Sigh...
I just have to bother my neighbor's cable access for recovery.
