Mike,

I found this tutorial on the web that explains what you need to do to
accomplish this. Although done in a pedantic style, the information is good.
I hope this is what you were looking for.

If your dmg is for download or a CD and you want the dmg to auto mount after
it's downloaded or the CD inserted, use this utility before you do the final
'New Image from Volume or Folder¹ step:

http://autoopen.nibfile.com/

I'm sure there are other ways to accomplish this, but this is how I do it.
