Installer background image size

Hi All,
Could someone please clarify what the size of a custom Installer background image should be? The below thread says 620x440, but the DarwinPorts background.tiff on my machine is 620x418 and it fit perfectly when I load it as a custom image.  Is 620x440 the size of the entire GUI dialog and 620x418 the size of actual custom image (i.e. everything below the "Installer Interface Editor" strip)?
