applescript and automount?

  • Subject: applescript and automount?

i have to reverse engineer a half-a$$ed package installer. cutting to the chase, there are two things the installer does that i'd like to have some feedback on...

1. applescript to place known items:

	/Users/Shared/Stuff/*

into
	~/Library/Preferences/.

...how do you define "current logged in user" in packagemaker? i thought apple designed things so you CAN'T install into /Users?

2. apparently the person also created an /automount entry (noticed when i used loggen to snapshoot the install). how would one add an /automount command in a package installer?

thanks,
don
