Calling tool from postinstall script causes Terminal to launch

  • Subject: Calling tool from postinstall script causes Terminal to launch
  • From: Mike <email@hidden>

I have a simple command-line binary tool that I call from my postinstall script:

open "${PACKAGE_PATH}/Contents/Resources/spmunge"

However, when my tool runs, it causes Terminal to launch and show the result of running the tool.

How can I have my postinstall script run and launch my tool without it launching Terminal as a result?

Thanks,

Mike
